For a hernia. How long can I expect it to be before he's back? He is stationed at Ft. Benning, GA. I haven't been briefed entirely on the severity of the situation, but I don't believe he's in great pain from how he sounded on the phone last week. I was told 1 week to one month and I just would like to know what to expect. He has already been told by his DS he's getting a medical discharge. My husband is being sent home with a medical discharge... How long til he gets home?
My Boyfriend got a medical discharge and I was told 4 to 6 weeks and it took about 8. Expect longer then they say, it always is!My husband is being sent home with a medical discharge... How long til he gets home?
They aren't going too send him home with a hernia. They will fix it first if the hernia was acquired on duty (i.e. he didn't show up with it). After he is sufficiently recovered, then he will be sent home.
So in effect, he will get there when he gets there.
Hope he has a trouble free recovery.
is he in basic training? i saw DS and automatically assume,
if so, he needs a medical board, to get out, which could take up to a month, maybe more, maybe less. i didn't think they discharged people for hernias tho... those are fixable.
