My husband hunts rabbits on occasion with his redtail hawk in Texas. Is it legal to make things with the fur?

If it's ok, I will have to do more research on processing etc., but I do not want to do anything til I know for sure.

Thanks for any info on this.My husband hunts rabbits on occasion with his redtail hawk in Texas. Is it legal to make things with the fur?
Yes...It is perfectly legal...and its refreshing to see someone using all of the rabbit and not letting it go to waste...My husband hunts rabbits on occasion with his redtail hawk in Texas. Is it legal to make things with the fur?
One of these 2 sites will answer all your questions

It's a lot of work, but GOOD FOR YOU. Rabbit fur is so soft and warm
Yes, you can do whatever you wish with the rabbit. Just the same as if you had harvested the rabbit by any other means.
Yes you can make items from the fur but be sure you tan the hides correctly. Do your research in depth on this subject. As for selling those items you may want to check with your local dnr office and see if you have to have any special permit to do so. Ive made a rabbit rug for my daughters room and its pretty cool. But as I said be sure you correctly tan the hides first
Okay this isnt an answer but its a question. do you mean an acctual bird? if so WOW. i didnt know you could do that. but yeah you can keep the hide. it is soft and warm. make a blanket with it and fleece that would be SO warm.
your husband hunts with a hawk. thats freakin awesome
you can do whatever you like with it!!! whay made you think it was illegal?
