hi today is my husbands bday and i just wanted to know some good dinners ideas?What to make for a birthday dinner for my husband?
some good grilled steak and potatoes. serve with fresh tossed salad and a bottle of his favorite wine. and then you for dessert. say happy birthday hope he will enjoy you .What to make for a birthday dinner for my husband?
Olive Garden Stuffed Chicken Marsala


Cheese Stuffing


1/2 cup smoked provolone cheese


1 (8 ounce) shredded mozzarella cheese


1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated


1/2 cup breadcrumbs


1 teaspoon fresh garlic, minced


1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes


2 tablespoons sun-dried tomatoes, flakes if in oil drain first


1/3 cup sour cream


1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper


Chicken


2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts


4 ounces cooking oil


2 cups flour


salt and pepper, to taste


Sauce


1 small onion, chopped


6 cups button mushrooms, thinly sliced


24 ounces marsala wine


8 ounces heavy cream








1. Preheat oven to 350掳F.


2. Stuffing:Combine all cheese stuffing ingredients in a bowl.


3. Chicken:Butterfly thickest section to create two lobes.Place pounded chicken breasts on a plate and place desired amount of stuffing on one half of chicken breast.


4. Gently press stuffing down and fold over other side of chicken breast. Preheat a large saut茅 pan on stove top. Add 4 oz. oil; heat oil until shimmering.


5. Place approximately 2 cups flour in a pan and season it to taste with salt and pepper. Dredge chicken in flour and shake off excess flour. Place stuffed chicken breasts in saut茅 pan with the preheated oil.


6. Cook each side until golden. When chicken is seared on both sides remove them from saut茅 pan and place them in a baking pan and into the oven for 10-20 minutes.


7. Bake until juices run clear and stuffing and center reach a temperature of at least 165掳.


8. Sauce: Add the onions to the saut茅 pan. Stir with spatula. After 2 minutes add the mushrooms; saut茅 mixture until onions are translucent. Deglaze saut茅 pan with the marsala wine (make sure to incorporate particles from bottom of pan). Bring wine to a simmer and add heavy cream. Simmer sauce on low heat until reduced by half.


9. Place cooked chicken breast on a plate and top with onions, mushrooms and sauce.
Go dinner outside a romantic place and then dance, its much better for both and different! a very good night:)
meat!!! a very manly meal: mini pizzas for appetizers-also a lot of cold beer-or his fave drink, bake a nice big chunk of meat with BBQ sauce,have baked potatoes with all the trimmings-including real bacon bits.a warm cake he likes with vanilla ice-cream!!!!!!the real kind no low fat of frozen yogurt today!!!

I say, take him out to dinner..maybe to a Chinese restaurant, if he likes Chinese food..(Something tells me he likes Chinese food)..I know I do..The cost is very reasonable. And if i was married, and my wife took me out to eat..I would be like..wow..You dont have to worry about what to make him, no cleaning up to do. Being it is so hot to cook..

This recipe is AMAZING! It's written for 4 people, so if it's just the two of you, use 6 shrimp %26amp; 6 scallops. Enjoy!





Bacon Wrapped Shrimp and Scallops





12 jumbo raw peeled deveined shrimp, 16 to 20 count per pound


12 large sea scallops, trimmed and well drained


1 lime, juiced and zested


1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil


1 tablespoon grill seasoning or coarse salt and black pepper


1 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes


12 slices center cut or applewood smoked bacon, cut in 1/2


Toothpicks


3 scallions, very thinly sliced on an angle





Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.


Place shrimp and scallops in a shallow dish or bowl. Dress seafood with lime juice and zest, a generous drizzle of sesame oil, grill seasoning and hot pepper flakes. Wrap each shrimp and scallop with a half slice of bacon. Wrap each shrimp working from head to tail, pulling bacon snuggly around the shrimp. Wrap the bacon around the outside of each scallop. Fasten bacon in place as necessary with picks.





Arrange the shrimp and scallops on a slotted baking pan, such as a broiler pan, to allow draining while bacon crisps. Bake shrimp and scallops 10 to 14 minutes, until shrimp is pink and curled, scallops are opaque and bacon is crisp. Shrimps may finish before the scallops.





Arrange cooked seafood on platter and sprinkle with chopped scallions.
