My husband had a triple bypass heart surgery. How many surgeries can he have or how many arterial veins are?

there to use?My husband had a triple bypass heart surgery. How many surgeries can he have or how many arterial veins are?
You can have more than one. I'm a cardiovascuar ICU RN and these are the types of patients that I take care of. We have patients that have come in for a second surgery. They take the veins out of your leg or arm to bypass the blocked vessels. Hopefully your husband will change his lifestyle and won't need a second surgery! My husband had a triple bypass heart surgery. How many surgeries can he have or how many arterial veins are?
There is some good info on arteries on the site below. (';Arteries Are The Key to Good Health';).

Basically, there is no set limit on the amount of bypass surgeries a person can have other than available veins. Anyone with heart disease should try to avoid the necessity of repeat surgeries by making appropriate life style changes, lowering cholesterol, stress, exercising regularly.

For diet and exercise, try http://www.collectivewizdom.com/DietandE鈥?/a>
my dad had surgey 20 years ago you need to change your diet watch carbs and eat veggies they can last 30 years as far as i know you can only have 3 just change the way you eat and talk to a doctor to set you upn with someone who can help you masnge food better good luck
stop worrying, lifes too short, and if you worry too much, you will be in need of the same thing too if you are not calming down, your husband can get it done again as the nurse said. i'm waiting, myself for pacemakerimplant surgery. been told within the next 5 years it going to happen and this is a bigger worry to know that your ';ticker ';is running out of ';tick'; but until then i can only grin and bear it p.s wife has no idea no need to scare too early
For some tips and guidance on living successfully with heart disease, browse this site: http://www.smart-heart-living.com/index.鈥?/a>

It can help you with lifestyle changes such as better diet, exercise, body weight, etc. It also has lots of information to just get you more familiar with what is happening with different aspects of heart disease.

Good luck to you and your husband.
it also depends on if he has family history of heart disease, if he does, then you really need to watch what you eat and exercise. He should be on meds. I had my first heart surgery at 30, and I do have a family history of heart disease.
there are 3 valves that go to your heart, and if they get clogged he will have to get stents put in to unclog the arteries so the blood will pump evenly and equally to his heart.
Its a one surgery deal, and the heart has 4 main veins, and they bring up veins from the leg. Hope your hubby recovers fully and the pair of you live healthy lives.
He can have as many as his health permits.

see I have seen an intersting article in one of the sites I found in these colums.so check this link below...
