yes! and then get a protective order on him and the file for divorce! If a husband brings his male friends home and suggest his wife to have sex with them can she call the police ?
Charges for what? For suggesting you have sex with his friends? What crime do you think that would be? It's not rape unless they actually do it. It's not assault if they don't touch you. It's a suggestion. Then you just say, ';No.'; Case solved. Now if they actually try to make you do it, THEN you've got cause to call the cops. Suggestion? Legal. Action against your will? Illegal.
As far as sufficient grounds for divorce, all you have to prove is this: you don't want to be married to the guy anymore.
while it's tacky I can't see any law being broken... he made a request... you may or may not agree with the idea... but assuming no force (i.e. husband didn't hold you down against your will and let his male friend rape you) I can't see a crime.
divorce is a state issue... most states are basically no fault... ';irreconcilable differences';... so you don't need cause... just need to want to not be married.
my question is did he just do this out of the blue?
or had you two talked about it and you said something like ';I'll think about it sometime maybe if the time was right with the right guy if we're really in the mood'; which was your way of giving him a tactful ';no'; but he heard ';YES'; since you didn't give a clear ';NO';.
have you been complaining he's not pleasing you or is he having erection problems?
he may just be trying to give you what he can't.
I just can't really imagine this happening without something going on to kick it off.
It's not illegal for a husband to suggest his wife have sex with other men. If he -forces- her to do it, or threatens force or violence, then yes, but just suggesting or asking for it is not illegal.
Divorce laws are different in every state, but I would say this would come under 'irreconcilable differences'. In some states you don't -need- grounds to file for divorce.
An open minded, sexually permissive husband and wife would have discussed this before hand. To be thrown into that position would definitely put the marriage on thin ice.
I do agree with the other that if no act was committed against your will, then there's nothing the police can do.
Divorce court might be a bit much. You should try counseling first.
grounds for divorce, but no reason to call the police. What a pig, I would file for divorce. Why would he do such a thing?
