After my husband finishes bootcamp for the coast guard, will I move with him where he is stationed?

If he is stationed somewhere before seeking an A school, let's say for 6 mo to a year, will I be allowed to move with him wherever he goes? Same for when he is in an A school...will I move where his school is or do I stay at home? After my husband finishes bootcamp for the coast guard, will I move with him where he is stationed?

you will stay home until he finishes bootcamp and A school. that means, the coastguard will not pay for moving you to his city where the a-school is located.

however. you are a civilian and a free citizen. you can move wherever you want to live. during A-school, he will not be able to live outside of the barracks, but he will have weekends to be with you.

he will go DIRECTLY from bootcamp to A-school.

After A-school, the coastguard will pay the expenses to move you and your stuff to wherever his duty assignment is located.
If he goes to a unit prior to ';A'; School, then you can move there. He will then attend ';A'; School TAD or on a temporary assignment - and unfortunately, you can't go with him (outside of visiting).

Once he graduates, he'll return to his home unit (with you) and then PCS to his next unit.

This is different than ALL the other services... they send you to ';A'; School right out of boot camp - we let you see what those people do prior to selling your soul to a rating you may not like.
The rules are that once you are at a certain phase he can move out of his dorm in tech school and live with you.
He will go to A school first. then after that you can move with him.
Your choice.
you are free to live where you want
